Why a loyalty card works for nail salons
Nail clients come back on a short, steady cycle: a gel fill or a new set every two to three weeks. That rhythm fills a punch card fast, so the reward feels within reach from the first visit. A Wallet card also suits the moment: nobody wants to dig through a bag for a paper stamp card with fresh polish, and the phone is usually already in their hand. Each tech stamps from their own phone, and every stamp is recorded with who added it.
How it works at the nail station
Everything runs from your phone. No hardware, no POS integration, nothing for customers to install.
- 1
QR code at reception and on each station
Clients scan it while their polish sets or while they wait. The card saves to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in a few seconds.
- 2
The tech stamps after the service
Invite each nail tech as staff. They scan the client’s card from their own phone and tap once, before the client reaches for their bag.
- 3
Free manicure on visit eight
The app shows when the reward is ready. Redeem it and the card starts again.
What it looks like in the app
Scan the customer's card, tap once, and the stamp is on their phone. Every visit is recorded with who added it.

What a free manicure really costs
An example for a "buy 7, the 8th manicure free" card with gel manicures.
- Gel manicure
- $45
- Paid visits before the reward
- 7 × $45 = $315
- Product cost (gel, base, top coat, files)
- about $4
- Tech time, about 45 minutes
- about $15
- Reward cost per paid visit
- about $2.71
- Reward cost as a share of sales
- about 6%
Example figures, not data from real salons. If a full free manicure feels too generous, a $10 nail art add-on at visit four costs a fraction of it and still gives clients something to aim for. Try your own numbers with the stamp card calculator.
Facts worth knowing
- Manicurists and pedicurists held about 201,800 jobs in the US in 2025, and employment is projected to grow 9% from 2025 to 2035. (Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook Handbook)
Rewards that work for nail salons
- Buy 7 manicures, the 8th free: on a two-to-three-week cycle that’s about four months.
- A free nail art set or a paraffin dip as a smaller, earlier reward.
- A pedicure reward for manicure regulars, so they try another service.

Questions from nail salons
Anything else? Talk to us.
Several techs work here. Can each one stamp cards?
Yes. Invite each tech with a code and give them a staff role. They stamp and redeem from their own phones; owners keep control of the program and the numbers.
What stops a tech from stamping a friend’s card twice?
Every stamp is recorded with the tech who added it, and owners see it in the activity log. A manager or owner can reverse a stamp added by mistake.
Our services range from a $25 polish change to a $90 full set. Is a punch card fair?
If prices vary a lot, run points instead, so a full set earns more than a polish change. You choose stamps or points when you set up.
Do clients with Android phones get the card too?
Yes. Customers with an Android phone save the card to Google Wallet, and iPhone customers save it to Apple Wallet. You scan both the same way.
What about clients without a smartphone?
They need a phone with Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. For the few customers who don’t have one, you can keep a paper card going alongside.
Can I change the reward later?
Yes. Editing a live program keeps everyone’s progress, so stamps clients already earned are safe.
We have a second salon. Does one plan cover both?
Each plan covers one store. If you run more than one, email contact@comprafy.app and we’ll help you set it up.
How much does it cost?
Try it free for 7 days. After that it’s $39.99 a month per store, with unlimited customer cards and no per-customer fee. Cancel anytime.
